He brings knowledge and experience with regards to the marine industry.

The operations director has also been pivotal in empowering individuals in the marine industry from the disadvantaged sections of our communities.

JM Marine Services (PTY) LTD offers a range of services In the marine industry at very competitive prices. The company assists vessel owners in preparing the vessel’s for SAMSA surveys, LGSC and Dry-Docking surveys etc.

We also assist with preparations for IMCA surveys, compliance surveys, external and internal vessel audits. JM Marine Services works in conjunction with other marine companies with regards to Dry Docking of vessels, Marine Engineering, Ship Repairs, Vessel Hull Painting, Cleaning of tanks, Sheet Metal Work, Marine Electrical etc.

The welders we utilize are coded, artisans and the engineering personnel are very experienced and have been working for a long time in the marine industry. Our company complies with all South African government requirements, South African Revenue Services and is also registered as a service provider with the Central Database Services (CSD) with National Treasury.

All scope of work conducted are in compliance with the South African Maritime Safety Authorities (SAMSA), classification societies and all other local and international statutory reporting bodies.

Each worker has an obligation to:

  • Comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and others, and damage to plant and equipment.
  • Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others.
  • Wear personal protective equipment and clothing as PPE matrix.
  • Comply with any direction given by management for health and safety representative.
  • Not misuse or interfere with any equipment provided for health and safety.
  • Report all accidents and incidents on the job immediately, no matter how trival.
  • Report all known or observed hazards to their supervisor or manager.
